    SOFTWARE ENGINEER

    With a Master's degree in Media Management, Anna is a self-taught web developer who went from WordPress enthusiast to front-end pro. Since October 2023, Anna's coding brings AITASTIC data from the terminal to the browser, making it a feast for techies and non-techies alike. When not moving pixels or levelling up the user experience in the app, her little daughter and family show her that there is more to life. She also enjoys conquering mountains on her bike and occasionally getting lost in the pages of captivating novels.

  • Ariane Hufnagel

    VICE PRESIDENT

    Meet Ariane – a communications pro with 25+ years under her belt. She's a master of media intelligence projects, data analysis and all things editorial. Ariane joined AITASTIC in September 2022, and currently helps clients from various industries turn data into actionable insights and recommendations by developing research designs that take into account their specific needs and the ever-changing media landscape. When she's not working, she loves to hang out with her horse and sheep buddies.

  • Bernd Hitzemann

    CEO, GERMANY

    Bernd is a former leader and Vice President with deep roots in the automotive industry. Since August 2021 he brings his wealth of experience to AITASTIC as a CEO his goal is simple: to keep clients happy. Period. Bernd's favorite part of the job is generating cutting-edge media insights and helping clients make better decisions. After work you can find him being a proud father of two, rockin' out on bass and indulging in his love for cars.

  • Bianca Leineweber-Spalda

    TEAM MANAGER

    A former compliance culture & communication expert and seasoned consultant, Bianca is a change management pro and a whiz at creating learning programs for employees. Bianca joined AITASTIC in August 2021, where she's currently the go-to person for all organizational issues related to employees, invoice management and accounting. Outside of work, Bianca is deeply dedicated to animal welfare and in 2020, she founded the non-profit association "Tatzenliebe e.V." in Mainz.

  • Claudius Schwarzenthal

    SENIOR CONSULTANT

    Say hello to Claudius, AITASTIC's progressive brand guru, who joined the team in Mainz in August 2023. With a Bachelor in Political Science and a Master in International Peace and Conflict Studies, Claudius now juggles reports, client consulting, team harmony and app quality assurance. Beyond the screen, he's an active player and director at the local tennis club and a pub quiz and board game pro, spreading joy with friends and diving into politics and social change in his downtime.

  • Daniel Kotowski

    DIRECTOR

    Meet Daniel, AITASTIC's go-getter since July 2023. He formerly rocked the news beat, especially in aerospace, and is now the maestro behind newsflow and content. Outside of work, he's the quiz king of Mainz, no, even the universe! As a movie nerd, he has a soft spot for directors like Luca Guadagnino, Yorgos Lanthimos and Denis Villeneuve. Daniel: Director by day, quiz champion and cinephile by night!

  • Daniela Louise Heinemann

    ART DIRECTOR

    Deeply rooted in the media industry, Dani is a color & design lover with 15 years of experience in international design projects, bringing print and online designs to life and helping companies create and develop their visual identity. She joined AITASTIC in July 2022 and is responsible for all internal and project-related design matters to ensure visual brand consistency. In her free time, she enjoys creating new recipes with colorful ingredients or slipping into her dancing shoes to release energy.

    Gaja is stationed in the vibrant heart of London and brings a decade of automotive expertise to the table. From monitoring the industry and defining success for industry giants to establishing monitoring and evaluation services and sculpting insights teams – as of February 2024 Gaja is on a mission to weave AITASTIC tales across the UK. Beyond work life, Gaja is passionate about majestic horses, captivated by the enchanting realm of film, drawn to the vibrant tapestry of London's hidden gems and an avid explorer of the mysteries of this world.

  • Harry Lasswell

    ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

    Harry is a media junkie and spends his day reading all kinds of news ranging from Social Media to Online News and from classic printed outlets to TV and Radio. He is an expert in measuring the impact of communication. Who says what in which channel to whom with what effect – he knows! Btw. his family roots are quite impressive. Rumors say he has relations to Zuse, Turing and Lovelace. You name it. He lives in the cloud and is probably the only employee working 24/7/365 in all offices at once. He is AITASTIC.

  • Holger Oftring

    CEO, GERMANY

    Holger is one of the AITASTIC founders. In his life prior to AITASTIC he led the development unit of a global media intelligence unit. Coding is his passion. When he is not hanging out with work-budy Harry, Holger loves to spend time with his family, in the mountains, or with a new Lego set.

    Irene’s heart beats for people and culture! She helped building a global business from scratch taking culture into account when staff was still seen as a resource. She helps AITASTIC through a phase of rapid growth. Besides AITASTIC Irene loves France, especially the southern part.

  • Isabel Pereira

    SENIOR CONSULTANT

    In the great AITASTIC story, Isabel Pereira arrived on the scene in November 2023 as the first team member in the UK, bringing with her a wealth of experience in consulting and marketing. Before her AITASTIC days, she navigated the realms of strategic communications and crisis management, advising heavyweight international clients. Now she is the go-to person for AITASTICS clients looking to weave data into the fabric of their communications and marketing strategies, where she's thrilled to be able to provide AI-powered, data-driven advice. Outside of work, Isabel wears multiple hats, working as a fitness trainer, practicing photography, and indulging in her love for reading.

    JUNIOR INSIGHTS CONSULTANT

    Jana, our Junior Insights Maestra, joined the AITASTIC adventure in January 2024, bringing her academic prowess from Mainz, Germany. A media maven with A-levels and a Master's in Cultural Anthropology, Jana's journey has taken her from various media companies and a sustainable backpack startup to a hybrid role at AITASTIC, where she blends analysis with news and promises special insights. Beyond work, Jana serves up veggie delights, enjoys music, podcasts, quizzes, Formula 1, and pedals through life with a newfound road cycling passion.

  • John Doukas

    USA

    John has 20 years of experience working in capital markets and fundraising. He currently works with startups and founders on growth strategy, and connects them with the best strategic partners. John joined AITASTIC as a board member in August 2022, where he advises the Chairman and team on all facets of the business including expansion to North America. At night, John turns into a fantasy football player and likes to travel, surf, snowboard and explore the world with his wife and 2 kids.

  • Jonas Rönnau

    Say hello to Jonas, our Insights Consultant & News Manager from Hamburg since January 2024. With a Master's degree in Culture, Arts and Media, Jonas has already been successfully navigating the international media maze for a decade and is a pro in the tourism, automotive and energy sector. Now at AITASTIC, he's our go-to consultant for media analysis and news briefings. Beyond data, Jonas is a culinary virtuoso, golden retriever Oskar's favorite walking companion, and a family man who enjoys grooving to indie rock anthems with his wife and adorable daughter.

  • Marion Welsch

    SENIOR DIRECTOR

    Meet Marion, our Senior Director since December 2023, bringing +20 years of wisdom in the realms of qualitative market research and media analysis in industries like media, fashion, and consumer goods. She has always been interested in psychology and communication and has therefore completed further training to become an NLP practitioner. With that skillset, she's not just shaping client relationships at AITASTIC, she's practically mind-reading their needs and whipping up solutions before they even ask. Outside of work, she is an advocate for children's literacy and volunteers at the public library. Marion also enjoys yoga and spending time with her son.

  • Marissa Kirkou

    SENIOR INSIGHT CONSULTANT

    Say hello to Marissa, who joined our London team in December 2023. With a BA in Public Relations & Advertising, she honed her skills as an Insights Manager, juggling projects in industries such as tobacco, banking, tourism and cybersecurity. As a line manager, she loved helping people with their career development and progression. At AITASTIC, Marissa brings her expertise to UK projects and adds the qualitative and quantitative sparkle. Outside the data realm, her travel bug dreams of living in different places, and yoga, salsa and bachata dancing keep her life balanced. She's also armed with a TEFL certificate, just in case you need some English lessons.

  • Matthias Hill

    DIRECTOR RESEARCH & CONSULT

    Matthias' mission: to unleash client joy by distilling strategic insights, playing matchmaker between clients and developers, and being the guardian of data integrity. Matthias joined AITASTIC in July 2023, bringing with him a Master of Arts, Film & Media Studies and experience in data-driven (media) research in the automotive industry, as well as project management skills in marketing software development. Off-duty, he's a dynamic duo with his better half, a car enthusiast, a sports fan and a tech gadget guru.

  • Michael Dickescheid

    DevOps Lead

    Agent Michael keeps things running at AITASTIC. He oversees security and stability of our systems, makes sure our passwords are safe and systems updated. Michael loves to spend time with his family and has a passion for physics.

  • Michael Steiger

    SENIOR INSIGHTS CONSULTANT

    Stationed in Mainz, Michael kicked off his AITASTIC journey in January 2024. One of the “last rockstars” with a Magister Artium – in Medieval and Modern History, and sidekicks in Ancient History and German Studies – he has since been a pivotal force in media monitoring, steering through automotive landscapes. From Associate Director to freelance journalist, his journey is as varied as his hybrid role now at AITASTIC —handling both news and analysis. Off the digital highway, Michael's an outdoor aficionado, a family man, and the (yet) unsung hero of food waste reduction.

  • Nicole Dittmann

    ANALYST

    News reviews, social media briefings, reporting and analysis in the world of chemistry and pharmaceuticals are where Nicole came from before joining AITASTIC in March 2022. Now, she enjoys the variety of industries and topics at AITASTIC, conducting analysis, research, and news reporting. To recharge her batteries at the end of the day, she participates in social engagements, loves good food and is always down for a piece of dark chocolate.

  • Nils Koch

    SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

    As former Scientific Assistant and Automation Engineer Nils joined AITASTIC in October 2022. He developed an object detection model for his master’s thesis, that can be used to tap into the previously unexploited area of image content. If you're looking to expand your desk gear and have always been looking for an ergonomic keyboard: As a passionate tinkerer, Nils developed it already!

  • Obeida Shamoun

    SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

    Obeida joined AITASTIC in August 2022 and brings in expertise from several areas, e.g. analysis and coding systems, newsletter creation, frontend development, infrastructure projects and AI. He is now helping to build the content ingestion pipeline and (every now and then to his delight) the user frontend. After the day’s work is done he enjoys gaming, tinkering with PC hardware or Linux Development.

  • Patrick van den Hoek

    REPRESENTATIVE DIRECTOR JAPAN

    Patrick has 11+ years experience in global media and communications research, commencing as an analyst in 2011. Having moved to Japan in 2017, he started business development for AITASTIC in January 2022. With a blank canvas, he uses his past experiences and passion to shape insightful reports, while pursuing fast-paced Formula 1 and go-karting action in his spare time.

  • Pauline Payrac

    INSIGHT CONSULTANT

    Meet Pauline, who joined AITASTIC in January 2024, bringing with her experience in the aviation and telecommunications sectors, as well as waste and water management. She emigrated from France to Germany with a Master's degree in Germanic Literature and Corporate Communications. Pauline is a weekend adventurer and enjoys going out with her daughter, partner and French bulldog. But she's also a homebody who enjoys playing video games, listening to a good vinyl record or watching adventure movies on the cozy sofa.

  • Peter Bienhaus

    DIRECTOR INDUSTRY CLIENTS

    With an MA in Political Communication – the best of both worlds – Peter navigated the academic labyrinth before rocking the media analysis world for 8 years, particularly in the automotive and industry sectors. Peter's AITASTIC gig since August 2023 has two goals: Shaping clients' media reputation and getting the best out of data every day! Off-duty, he's on a mission to convince his his wife and two sons that music makes life better, by passionately listening to it and jamming on guitar, piano, and bravely tackling the trombone.

  • Philip Koch

    SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

    Philip has 9 years of experience in writing backend code and handling big data in the media analysis industry. He started at AITASTIC in July 2021 and is responsible for architecture and implementation of the content ingestion pipeline and the micro-service infrastructure. He loves to conceptualize new tools and to make them a reality. And he also loves pizza and is happy to invite you at any time.

  • Dr. Rainer Mathes

    CHAIRMAN

    Before founding AITASTIC, Rainer transformed scientific-driven media analysis into a must-have for corporate communication. With the rise of the internet and social media, Rainer put a strong focus on big data capabilities to establish a global company. The start of AITASTIC marks a new chapter with a progressive AI-driven approach. Besides AITASTIC, Rainer is a caring father, music lover, and car enthusiast.

  • Sami Sekali

    WORKING STUDENT

    Sami is currently in the 5th semester of his International Business Engineering studies, paving the way for a bright career. A member of the AITASTIC team since May 2023, he is the master of content input and the guardian of newspaper and online subscriptions. Every newspaper, every online source - it's all under his watchful eye. Outside of work, Sami is a dedicated student who devotes most of his time and energy to his studies. But when there's a break, you'll find him pumping iron in the gym or cruising the streets of Europe in his little car.

  • Sarah Gomez Hernandez

    SENIOR CONSULTANT

    Armed with a Master's Degree in qualitative and quantitative research methods, Sarah is a true analytical wizard: from designing user experiences in train stations to crafting PR and communications strategies to diving deep into target audiences, buyer personas and social media. As part of the team at AITASTIC since July 2023, Sarah creates insightful analyses that pave the way for brands to embrace trends, connect with target groups, and take progressive steps. Beyond work, Sarah is all about cooking, true crime, hanging out with her dog Paco, and getting ready for the next beach vacay.

  • Sarah Irwin

    SENIOR CONSULTANT

    Meet Sarah, a native of Woodhaven, Michigan, who joined the AITASTIC family in December 2023. Sarah's professional journey spans over a decade in media analysis, where she was a sector director specializing in financial services. She now advises US clients on how to create statistically-sound measurement programs with meaningful goals and objectives. Outside of the data-driven world, you'll never meet anyone who loves dogs as much as she does! Especially her furry friends Crouton and Poppy at home. Sarah is also the mother of a 7-year-old and enjoys reading and paint-by-numbers. Always in her veins: Coffee!

  • Shashank Pathania

    COUNTRY HEAD INDIA

    Shashank has more than a decade of experience in leading and managing an office, creating a 360-degree team for Media Insights and Corporate Communications, and delivering actionable results to global clients. He is now forming the backoffice team for AITASTIC Global to provide clipping, news and media insights to the global peers for further analysis and reporting. Shashank is a family man and enjoys sticking to his workout routine and meeting friends over the weekend.

  • Shinobu Kikuchi

    INSIGHTS CONSULTANT

    Meet our dynamic team member Shinobu: she has a passion for learning and a worldly spirit. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Literature from Meiji University and has a rich professional background, having spent five years in the travel industry (she also loves to travel) before embarking on a journey in the automotive industry. Her skills range from personal assistance to budget management, project coordination and photo production. She started to support the AITASTIC team in Japan in May 2023.

  • Stephanie Schrimpf

    Stephanie is on of our Senior Consultants, who jumped into the AITASTIC groove in January 2024. Equipped with a diploma in Applied Media Science, she's been rocking the professional scene for 13 years, with a background in finance, insurance and even a dash of automotive. At AITASTIC, Stephanie is an analytics expert, cooking up insights to improve client communications. Beyond the data jungle, she's a mom to two energetic sons and a green-thumb gardening enthusiast, turning her life into a blooming masterpiece.

    VICE PRESIDENT

    With experience ranging from aerospace to tech Stephan consulted clients from a broad range of industry sectors and enabled his teams deliver world-class service to global customers before joining AITASTIC in January 2022. Now, he rolls into work on his skateboard and works hand-in-hand with engineers to develop AI-driven solutions for customers and create a supportive environment for the entire team. When he's not reading the news, he's a proud father and enjoys biking and vacationing in the Alps.

    Please meet Uli! He joined AITASTIC in May 2022 and brings with him a professional background in the chemical industry, where he has held various management positions in corporate communications, news and issues management. When he is not enjoying being part of the passionate team during the day, he dedicates his energy to the golden rule of "Happy Wife, Happy Life".

    DIRECTOR CREATIVES & CONSULTING

    Volker is a true automotive enthusiast and his professional track record as a copywriter and creative director in advertising spans a remarkable 23 years. He revved up his engines at AITASTIC in June 2023 to be sparring partner for clients on strategic matters, media coverage analysis, and crafting core messages. His creative spirit shines, when it comes to engage with target groups through social media and influencers. Beyond work life Volker puts his family first, enjoys cherished moments with friends and the thrill of the open road on his trusty motorbike – his SAAB 900 convertible will always be a sweet, sweet memory.

  • Volodymyr Shpylka

    DEVOPS ENGINEER

    Cloud, Software, DevOps, Data Engineering, and Consulting in multiple client projects are the keywords to describe Volodymyr’s a.k.a. Vova’s background, before he joined AITASTIC in July 2023. Now he is the master of infrastructure automation and speeding up development processes. In his free time he stress-tests his own system with football, bouldering, volleyball and road trips.

  • Yuka van den Hoek

    INSIGHTS CONSULTANT

    Before embarking on the AITASTIC adventure, Yuka held positions in the automotive, machinery and IT industries – including responsibilities related to M&A and PMI – and enjoyed the game of translating and interpreting between Japanese and English. Now at AITASTIC Japan, she spearheads the automotive knowledge and is the go-to person for project support. After work, Yuka can be found studying for her MBA, watching world history documentaries, or chatting with friends online. She is a big fan of all things digital and all the possibilities it has brought to her personal life in recent years.
